Reiki Session

Reiki is a gentle, Japanese-origin energy healing practice designed to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and support the body's natural ability to heal itself. The word "Reiki" comes from two Japanese terms: "rei" (universal or spiritual wisdom) and "ki" (life force energy, similar to "chi" or "qi" in other traditions). Together, it means "spiritually guided life force energy " :

How Reiki Works
Reiki is based on the idea that a vital life force energy flows through everyone. When this energy is low, blocked, or imbalanced—often due to stress, injury, emotional challenges, or illness—it can lead to physical, mental, or emotional discomfort. A trained Reiki practitioner (like Emily, a certified Usui/Holy Fire III Reiki Master) acts as a channel for this universal energy.
During a session:

You remain fully clothed and lie down (or sit comfortably).
The practitioner places their hands lightly on specific areas of your body (hands-on) or holds them just above you (hands-above or non-contact).
They use a series of standard hand positions, typically covering major energy centers (like chakras) and areas needing attention.
The energy flows where it's most needed, helping to clear stagnation, restore balance, and activate your body's self-healing response.
Many people describe the sensation as a warm, glowing radiance, deep calm, tingling, or profound relaxation—sometimes even emotional release.

Emily practices Usui/Holy Fire III Reiki, a modern evolution of traditional Usui Reiki (founded by Mikao Usui in the 1920s). Holy Fire adds a refined, higher-vibrational energy that emphasizes direct connection to universal life force, often leading to deeper spiritual awareness, purification, and transformative experiences while building on the core foundations of relaxation and healing.

How Reiki Helps People (Benefits)

Deep relaxation and stress reduction: Sessions promote the "relaxation response," shifting the body out of fight-or-flight mode.
Reducing anxiety, depres
